COLOR ME HEALED EVENT!

ree

My name is Dominique Richards , and I’m the Head steward of Makeshift Foundation — a faith-centered outreach focused on emotional freedom and creative healing anywhere it’s needed.

We are planning a community block party in Racine, WI, on August 9th,2025, where children, families, and communities can gather to play, create, get messy with paint, and remember the cleansing love of Jesus through simple acts like washing feet and hands — just as He did for His disciples.

We’re looking for partners who can help us bless our neighbors with:

  • Equipment: tents, tarps, folding tables & chairs, snack stands, signage stands, loud speakers for music, traffic cones or barricades (only 2).

  • Merchandise & Giveaways: blank journals to give away to guests, T-shirts with Makeshift’s logo & a Scripture verse, small packaged meals or snacks to share with anyone in need.

  • Volunteers: to help greet, guide, serve at stations, keep safety in mind, clean up, guest support, and gently answer questions about faith.

As a survivor-led mission, Makeshift stands for hope, service, and healing. We encourage and promote mental wellness — and every helping hand brings this vision to life. If your church or team would like to give, donate, or volunteer, please reach out to me at [920-396-5914] or [richardsdomi@makeshiftheals.com].

Together, we can create a joyful space for families to be messy, be seen, and be reminded that it’s okay to feel and there’s someone we can surrender it all to. God meets us where we are, mess and all.

Thank you for reading and prayerfully considering!

May God bless you and your church abundantly.

Warmly,

Dominique Richards & Family

Head Steward , Makeshift Foundation
